Christmas is almost here

Well, it has been almost a month since I last checked in and boy, things have been busy. All of us have been dealing with our own church choirs and cantatas and special music plus all that stuff that normally comes with the Christmas season. We are looking forward to getting to visit those folks at Cedar Creek. It has been about 4 months since we made our first visit there. We have actually put together some Christmas songs to mix in with some of our new ones. God has been very good to us to give us this ministry. We are blessed. Merry Christmas everyone!

Grab a chair. This will be a long one

Last night was an incredible night for 3N1. We had the opportunity to sing at Core Point Chapel. It was a fabulous night. The people couldn't have been nicer and everybody seemed to have a great time worshiping the Lord with us. After the service, They laid out a feast for everyone. The food was awesome and the deserts even better. I even took a piece of cake home with me because I ran our time to eat it there. We finally left around 8:30 to head back to Fayetteville and that is when things got interesting, at least for me. We had just pulled onto I 95 when my front driver's side tire chose to go flat. Mike and Steve and their wives were following us in Mike's truck and pulled over behind us. Between the 3 of us we finally got the tire changed and we were back on the road 45 minutes later. My spare tire is what we call a "may pop". This is because it may pop before we get home or it may not. Of coarse these types of tires are only rated for 55 miles per hour. So that slowed the process of getting home way down. We did get home around Midnight and the fun wasn't over yet. We started to unload the van and get the kids in, who were sleeping in the van, when we notice the most horrible smell inside the house. After a few minutes, I discovered a mass of something in one of the boy's bedrooms upstairs. I had no clue what it was but it was definitely the cause of the odor. I removed it from the house and we began the spraying of anything that would kill the smell. We even lit a few candles. Before we went to bed I figured out what the dogs had brought into the house. My wife had notice, a couple of weeks ago, something floating in the pool. i went down to check it out and found a squirrel had met his demise by falling in the pool. I removed him and decided to bury him way back in the back corner of the yard. Well, two weeks later my little rat terrier / basset hound mix thought it was a great time to bring Rocky back from the dead. It was not pretty. And it smelled even worse. This morning the smell was a little better but I do get to go home after work and shampoo carpets. I tell you all this just to let you know even after all of this, it was a blessing to share God's word in song with the folks at Core Point and we would do it all over again even if we knew about the troubles getting home. God is good.

It has been a few days since I wrote. I got a couple of pictures from Rev. Loft's wife a few days ago and thought I would share one of them with you. I am supposed to be getting a DVD from her sometime and 3N1 is very looking forward to getting that. If I can figure out how to upload some of that video, I will. For now we are looking forward to singing at Village Green on Saturday and then we make the trek up to Core Point Chapel on the 15th. God has been very good to us and we thank Him for that on a daily basis. God Bless you all! 3N1

Great Ending

It is late but I just had to write a few words before I hit the sack. My heart was moved just as much tonight as it was the two nights before. Rev. Loft was moved by the spirit and lead by the Lord and the words he spoke were just what I needed to hear. It was a great ending to the revival services and I think a great beginning to revival at Reilly Road. Rev Loft is headed to South Carolina for another revival at the end of the week. Join us in praying for his ministry.

Two Amazing Days

Sorry I haven't been able to update this since Saturday night but Things have been really busy. Reilly Road's Revival is going great. Sunday and Monday nights were amazing. The worship was moving, the Spirit was lifting, and we have been so blessed just to be a part of it. Tonight is the last night and we just can't wait to get started. We should be tired from this schedule but God just keeps giving us what we need and we keep going. We do love what we do, very much. We love singing about and sharing God's message in song. We would love to hear from you. I hope to post a new video in the next week and maybe some new pictures. See you tonight at Reilly Road Presbyterian!

5 programs in 4 days

Well we made it through day one and what a day it was. We started with a high octane program at MacPherson Presbyterian at 1. It was a good crowd and a beautiful day. We then packed up and went to Woodlands assisted living center. I think I can speak for Steve and Mike when I say we were all tired and dragging at this point. We were all just getting over being sick and our first program just zapped our strength. Before we started we prayed for strength and God came through again. The folks at Wooodlands are the best. They were singing with us and had us so pumped up by the end of the set, we did not want to quite. It was a great day. Tomorrow we start the revival at Reilly Road Presbyterian. We would love to see a lot of people there. We could use all the help we can get. :o) See you at 7pm.

Reilly Road Presbyterian Revival

We are set to sing at the Reilly Road Presbyterian Church Revial on October 18th, 19th, and 20th. We will be starting at 6:45 each evening. We would love for you to come and join us and we will all praise the name of the Lord together!

MacPherson Presbyterian added

We just added MacPherson Presbyterian church to the schedule. We will be singing for their special event on October 17th at 1 o'clock. We sang there for a men's breakfast a year or two ago and we are looking forward to going back. We are also going to be at Woodlands Retirement Home later that same day at 4pm. Steve has been a little under the weather and his voice was sounding more like a cement mixer that the great singer he really is. We are all praying for God to touch him with his healing hands.

New Outfits!

No not really. This is just Steve's idea of dressing up a little. We thought he should have at least worn a tie. :o) Anyway... We are starting to get busy again and that is great. We have dates set up for September, October, and even November. Be sure to track us on our calendar. If you can't find it just go back to the first entry in our blog and there you will find it. New dates in the works

Keep an eye on our calendar at the very beginning of our blog because we will be adding new dates very soon. We are going east of Greenville NC on November 15th. We are scheduling dates for at least 3 other places at this time. When I get the exact times and locations I will be updating the Calendar. God is working in so many ways.

Cedar Creek.... Wow!

We had the privilege to sing at the Cedar Creek Assisted Living Center yesterday. It was part of their Grandparents day celebration. I am not sure who was more blessed by our time there, us or them. They were singing and clapping and smiling and that just made us want to sing even harder. It was a great time for all and you could just feel the spirit moving. We can't wait to visit with them again.

Sunnyside Presbyterian !!!

What a great night. There was great food, great fellowship, and a great time had by all, especially us. We were blessed by the hospitality shown to us tonight. We felt the spirit moving in us and even though Steve and I had been a little under the weather, God gave us the strength to share His word in song. I just can't stop smiling. :o)

The second addition is the Cedar Creek Assisted Living Center here in Fayetteville. We are singing there on September 13th at 2:30pm. We are thrilled to be celebrating Grandparents Day with them as this will be our first visit with them. Keep praying for us and we keep looking for opportunities to spread the Gospel through music.

We had an awesome time at Village Green yesterday. The room was full and the spirit was moving. We do love singing for all the people out there. When they all started sining "God Bless America" with us, it almost brought a tear to my eye. I was very moved. We can't wait to go back! Johnny

4th of July

Just in case no one was paying attention, it is almost the 4th of JULY. One of my favorite holidays of the year. Living in a military town all of us in 3N1 are reminded on a daily basis of the sacrifices that so many have made for our freedom. On Friday night, July 3rd, We will be singing at the New Gate Community church before the big fireworks display. Come and join us for a great night of song and fireworks. I love this country. Johnny

New Gate Community Church

We had an awesome time tonight at the New Gate Community Church. The people were so friendly and actually sang with us on most of the songs. It was a great time of worship for all. We were invited to join them afterwards for refreshments. They were celebrating their college and high school graduates. To that we say congratulations to the graduates and to whoever made the meatballs. We stayed until we finished them off. I think Mike's wife, April, ate the most meatballs but I was a close second. We can't wait to go back again. The spirit was definitely moving tonight. Keep checking our calendar for new dates. We try to keep it updated. Feel free to email us and let us know what you think of our blog. We should be adding more pictures soon.

Woodlands Rehab Center

Saturday was a great day for us. We had the priviledge to sing out at the Woodlands Rehab Center. The people there were great and I am not sure who recieved more of a blessing when it was over, us or them. They sang along with us and I could help but smile the entire time we were there. I can't wait to go back and sing with them again. Our next outing is June 7th in Lumberton at the

Victory Baptist

Sunday was a good day. Even though Steve's voice was a little under the weather, we still were able to sing. Steve also gave a great message about not just talking the talk but being able to walk the walk as well. It is easy to say we are Christians but when it comes down to having to act like one, things can change in a hurry. Wow... ain't that the truth?

Check this out!

What do you think of our license plates. Mike , Steve, and I are the only ones to have them. This is Steve's plate in the picture. He does love those palm trees. If you see one, stop and say hello. We would love to stop and talk Gospel Music with you. Don't forget to check out the calendar for schedule updates. This Sunday we will be at Victory Baptist Church in Hope Mills NC. We are looking forward to a great service.

Carolina Rehab and Victory Baptist

We have a couple of services scheduled over the next two weeks. We will be at Carolina Rehab on Thursday night. We do love going out there to sing for those folks. It is always a good time. Then we have , on the 24th, Victory Baptist Church. From what I am told, we are doing most of the Sunday morning service. It has been a while since we have been to Victory so we are looking forward to sharing in their worship service. Last but not least, I thought I would add a picture of our new road crew member. He is really great for putting the air back in flat tires on our equipment cart. I just have to work on explaining the dress code a little better.

NC Folk Arts Festival

Today was an awesome day. The weather was beautiful and we got a chance to lift the Lord's name in song. I had never been to the NC Folk Arts Festival before and I enjoyed every minute there. The people were great and everyone was so friendly. We got an early start at 9:30 but it did not take us long to get warmed up. We had such a good time. I hope we get a chance to come back next year. We had many people ask for our cards and we hope to hear from some of you. Until then, there is still a lot of May left we are going to be very busy. Keep us in your prayers.

National Day of Prayer at Cape Fear Valley

Today was an awesome day. We had the chance to celebrate the National Day of Prayer with our friends and workmates at Cape Fear Valley Hospital. The service was short but it was moving. You could just feel the spirit as we prayed for our Government, Schools, and the Hospital just to name a few. We sang two songs and then they asked us to hang around and sing a couple more, which we did. We really enjoy getting to share God's word in song. Singing His praises can turn a bad day into a good one in a hurry. Well, everyone keep praying for us because we do have a busy weekend. We sing Friday at the Mount Aire Gospel Talent contest and we sing at the NC folks arts festival in St. Pauls on Saturday. Like I said, we could use all the prayer we can get.

A Great Night at Hillcrest Baptist Church

we had a lot of fun at the Hillcrest Baptist Church for the "Relay 4 Life" charity. In the photo,I think the guys got this "fishers of men" thing confused. I guess I have my work cut out for me trying to explain it to them..... again! It was a wonderful night of singing God's praises and we are so thankful for the opportunity. We did get a couple of videos and a lot of pictures. I will upload the videos and add links to them in the next few days.
